Sabrina + Dexter Say "I DO"

As I start this blog post I can't help but think about the movie "Shall We Dance" with Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, Susan Sarandon and a host of other great actors. There's a part in the movie where Susan Sarandon ask the question "Why do people get married?" I was so romantically touched by her answer to the question that it moved me to forever remember it.

Her response in the movie was: "Because we need a witness to our lives. There are a billion people in the planet, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage you're promising to care about everything, the good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things, all of it, all the time, everyday. You're saying that your life will not go unnoticed because i will notice it, you're life will not go unwitnessed, because i will be your witness".

Now i know all that might be a mouthful, long winded and maybe even a bit on the mushy, but that line in that movie came to mind when i began to post about my clients Sabrina and Dexter. This couple couldn't be more perfect for each other than these two. The words of Susan Sarandon just reminded me of this couple. They wanted to be a witness to each others life more than anything just focusing on being a witness to each other and i could feel and see that especially in Dexter I could so tell that he is deeply in love and crazy about Sabrina and it just bubbles forth.
If you're curious about that scene in the movie you can google it but in the meantime
here are a few images from Sabrina and Dexter's day!

Thank you Sabrina and Dexter for allowing me to document being a witness to your lives :)

The Jasmine Star Workshop Continued...

Well, it's been a while i know since my last posting. Please accept my apologies for blogging out like that, but i must say it's been quite busy. I'm a work in progress of trying to blog more regularly.

As I mentioned in my last blog posting that my trip and experience was FABALISS! Jasmine, her husband JD and mother are such incredible great people! I tell you I learned a lot! The whole day was high energy for me! From Jasmine's opening remarks and experience of how she got into photography to her great business mindset. I get goose bumps and such inspiration just thinking about this trip. Well I'm not going to talk too much since its been a minute since my last posting. I'd rather you look at the my photos. I'll let them do the talking and I'll just interject in between!

here's where the workshop was held, very cozy, quaint, location that was very cool!

after lunch we got ready to go and shoot our hearts out. Here Jasmine was explaining how, what and why she does what she does. She challenged us not to just shoot but to create or begin to at least think about what would be your signature images and to think creatively about our style of shooting. I love challenges :) here are a few of my images.

Beth + Brian at Villa Christina

I'm so behind in blogging and I'm leaving in a few hours for the airport. I wanted to blog about this wedding before I left. It was beautiful. I shot with my good photography friend Alecia Lauren at Villa Christina. Beth and Brian were such a sweet couple. I had a wonderful time as always when shooting with Alecia... Alecia I'll see you tomorrow!
