Body Magic

Today was a gray, cold, dreary, rainy day. All that great weather earlier this week was short lived but hey there's always tomorrow right. :) I got a call from my best friend to photograph a presentation she was giving at one of the local hotels. It was for a product called "Body Magic". Now I had never heard of this so I was kind of curious as well. When I arrived there were already quite a few people there so I wanted to snap a couple of shots before the presentation got started. The presentation was pleasantly surprising.

This product is what you would say "WOW". You definitely have to see to believe it. You can drop 2 to 3 dress sizes in about 10mins. I know, I know what you're thinking...yeah right! Well I saw it with my own eyes and I photographed it. I thought this would be great for those brides or even grooms (yes gentlemen this product is for both men and women). If you want to get that perfect size or a great looking shape for your special day, you might want to consider "Body Magic". I'm so NOT kidding. I don't go around doing endorsements. I'm just putting it out there, when I see something that would be something helpful I want to share. This product is NOT a girdle but much more. Coffee Talk Books

Yes, I think Coffee Table Books are so cool and so very different from Traditional Albums. Yes, i know i said Coffee Talk books but that's because their so convenient and easy to transport its bound to get people to 'Talking".  

I think that's one a the reasons I love coffee table books.   I will say Albums in general have come a LONG WAY, don't get me wrong I love Albums too but to me a coffee table book is like having your own hardcover novel about you. :) 

I'm in the process of designing an Album for this client, but I couldn't resist this Coffee Table Book that I ordered complimentary to DWF members, Sweet!  So in the mist of all the breaking news of my brother's engagement this weekend, I almost forgot to blog about my book that arrived over the weekend.

Here are some pics I took.  Just fyi, this is my first time using this album company and the quality is awesome!  This album has a glossy finish, which I don't normally do, but I have to admit theirs is really nice and it has a really good durable protective coating and the binding is great too! I'm definitely going to add them to my vendor list.

Michael + Melissa Engaged!!!

Wow! I'm sooooo excited for this next couple because they have a special place in my heart. It's my oldest Brother Michael aka "Big Mike" as many affectionately know him. Today he called me up sounding all nerves, well just a tad bit, he says to me "well sis this is it i'm getting ready to do it", and i said do what? and he said "well I just bought Melissa a ring and were going to do this! I was so overjoy I started screaming and crying, you'd think i was getting engaged LOL. Anyway, he said that his girlfriend was coming over at 2pm and was going to give her the ring. Since this was such short notice I wanted to be there to witness and of course capture the moment :) so I flew over there and made it in the nick of time. I'm really just giving the skinny as they say of this story but I'll have more to tell when we shoot their formal engagement session. For now here are a few pics!

1st Snow Day of 2009

Wow! what a way to start the month of March off...with a Snow Day!! I just couldn't resist snapping these right outside my front door!! awesome!! Enjoy your Snow Day Sunday...this is definitely a day for hot tea, lemon, and honey! oh and my favorite movie "Anne of Green Gables"!!!!! Its a classic...enjoy!!!

Client Presentation Box

I recently received my client's presentation box for her proofs and I just "love" it! This box is such a keepsake item for years to come. Here are a few pics of the unique box. I meant to post about it earlier but forgot.

Meet Caleb, Caleigh and Cody

As I stated in my previous posting, to stay tuned...well here it is! Meet Caleb, Caleigh and Cody. Talk about personality, each one of these "little young people" as i like to call them has so much fun personality and it was a delight to photograph them. As you probably can see Caleigh stole the session with her Beyounce inspiration we gave her! She was something else. I just hate it for mom and dad when she gets older...and not to mention all the hearts she's going to break. Well here are some of my photos I'm sharing. I tell it was hard selecting without selecting all of the images, but i managed to pick out a few!

Family Reunion

Last week my Aunt came into town and it was a very busy, exciting, fun, reminiscing, lots of laughs, tear moving visit. To fill you in, I haven't seen my Aunt since my Mother died (my aunt is my mother's sister) and that was 10 years ago. I know, way too much time without getting together with Family. Since the passing of another family member, we made it a serious point and effort NOT to let any more time go by of not getting together. So you must know I was so excited to hear my aunt and new hubby were making the trip to Atlanta! These are just a few photos I wanted to share!

We started the morning at the Original Pancake House


Then we worked our way to the CNN Center...as you can see whoever took this picture left off the "N" in CNN...i tell you a good photographer is hard to find LOL.


Then we headed to the High Museum...I snapped a shot of Joseph my Aunt's husband...I like this shot alot, it just looks cool, may it's Joseph who makes it look cool!


Then I wanted to take a picture of the High Museum alone.....it's still cool even without Joseph.


Then it was off to Atlantic Station. We stopped to rest our feet, quench our thirst and to catch our breath...very cool place by the way...Thanks Wanda for suggesting it!


After that we went to my brother's house for dinner. It was definitely a family gathering, that's why i don't have pictures i was busy working... we cut up potatoes to make home fries, my brother fried fish, which was delicious and then evidentually we all conked out on the sofa from the exhaustion of walking, site seeing and good eating :)

The next day, I hosted dinner at my house along with family foto night. Everyone seemed ready for their photo shoot!

The weekend was truly wonderful, more than I expected and won't ever forget. I'm not much for many words, but as Sarah Mclaughlin says in one of her songs: I will remember you, will you remember me? Don't left your life pass you by and we not form the memories...

CLIENT ALBUM ARRIVED!!!

I'm excited to show you my client's album. I really love Finao Albums, the quality, the feel, the look, i just love it! There's A LOT that goes into producing the final product, your Album. It's interesting that all the work that goes into making your Special day Special, your images and/or albums are what you will have left to last your lifetime and to pass your legacy on to your love ones. Here are a few pics of the final product my clients will enjoy for years and years to come.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY 02.01.09

I know I'm a little late in posting this but better late than never! This weekend was certainly a treat not only did my Team Win the Super Bowl, I also had a chance to re-connect with two of the many cousins I haven't seen in too many years to say. I know it's a shame but again, better now than never :)

SuperBowl XLIII was awesome! Though I must admit I felt just a tad bit sorry for the Cardinals, but maybe next year dude!
