Client Presentation Box

I recently received my client's presentation box for her proofs and I just "love" it! This box is such a keepsake item for years to come. Here are a few pics of the unique box. I meant to post about it earlier but forgot.

Meet Caleb, Caleigh and Cody

As I stated in my previous posting, to stay tuned...well here it is! Meet Caleb, Caleigh and Cody. Talk about personality, each one of these "little young people" as i like to call them has so much fun personality and it was a delight to photograph them. As you probably can see Caleigh stole the session with her Beyounce inspiration we gave her! She was something else. I just hate it for mom and dad when she gets older...and not to mention all the hearts she's going to break. Well here are some of my photos I'm sharing. I tell it was hard selecting without selecting all of the images, but i managed to pick out a few!

Family Reunion

Last week my Aunt came into town and it was a very busy, exciting, fun, reminiscing, lots of laughs, tear moving visit. To fill you in, I haven't seen my Aunt since my Mother died (my aunt is my mother's sister) and that was 10 years ago. I know, way too much time without getting together with Family. Since the passing of another family member, we made it a serious point and effort NOT to let any more time go by of not getting together. So you must know I was so excited to hear my aunt and new hubby were making the trip to Atlanta! These are just a few photos I wanted to share!

We started the morning at the Original Pancake House
family_1

Then we worked our way to the CNN Center...as you can see whoever took this picture left off the "N" in CNN...i tell you a good photographer is hard to find LOL.
family_2

Then we headed to the High Museum...I snapped a shot of Joseph my Aunt's husband...I like this shot alot, it just looks cool, may it's Joseph who makes it look cool!
family_4

Then I wanted to take a picture of the High Museum alone.....it's still cool even without Joseph.
family_5

Then it was off to Atlantic Station. We stopped to rest our feet, quench our thirst and to catch our breath...very cool place by the way...Thanks Wanda for suggesting it!

After that we went to my brother's house for dinner. It was definitely a family gathering, that's why i don't have pictures i was busy working... we cut up potatoes to make home fries, my brother fried fish, which was delicious and then evidentually we all conked out on the sofa from the exhaustion of walking, site seeing and good eating :)

The next day, I hosted dinner at my house along with family foto night. Everyone seemed ready for their photo shoot!

The weekend was truly wonderful, more than I expected and won't ever forget. I'm not much for many words, but as Sarah Mclaughlin says in one of her songs: I will remember you, will you remember me? Don't left your life pass you by and we not form the memories...

CLIENT ALBUM ARRIVED!!!

I'm excited to show you my client's album. I really love Finao Albums, the quality, the feel, the look, i just love it! There's A LOT that goes into producing the final product, your Album. It's interesting that all the work that goes into making your Special day Special, your images and/or albums are what you will have left to last your lifetime and to pass your legacy on to your love ones. Here are a few pics of the final product my clients will enjoy for years and years to come.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY 02.01.09

I know I'm a little late in posting this but better late than never! This weekend was certainly a treat not only did my Team Win the Super Bowl, I also had a chance to re-connect with two of the many cousins I haven't seen in too many years to say. I know it's a shame but again, better now than never :)

SuperBowl XLIII was awesome! Though I must admit I felt just a tad bit sorry for the Cardinals, but maybe next year dude!

Here are a couple of pics from my Brother Michael's SUPERBOWL SHIN DIG!!!

you must have a marker so everyone knows where the party's at!
superbowl_1

and you must have mulitple monitor viewing screens throughout the house so you don't miss a thing (hahaha) i forgot to get the one in the basement...jeeze michael got enough TVs?
superbowl_2

it wouldn't be complete without something to win!
superbowl_3

also any good superbowl party must have the accessories to get the ambiance right.

Let's not forget the food and drinks.

Life is too short

I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on how short but yet valuable our lives are. It's really the only thing on this planet of real value. We should cherish, appreciate and respect it to the utmost. My reason for this blog posting today is on a very sad note. One of our dear faithful sisters' passed away today. I was very much appreciative that myself along with some other friends had the privilege and opportunity to visit the sister just hours before she passed away.

I just want to encourage you to always put forth the effort to love those who are precious to you. Life is short and we are not promised tomorrow.

My condolence goes out to the Kaufman Family.

Just Us Girls Day

J.U.G. stands for Just Us Girls Day! Oh did I need that day too!  We had so much fun, me, and my close girlfriends Marnetta and Stephanie.

We started out the day with Breakfast at a very popular spot call "Thumbs Up".  I understand why it's call that.  The food is definitely 2 thumbs up for me!!  Since we all wanted to try a little bit of each other's food we just ordered and shared....mmm, it was so good words can not describe it. :)

JUG_1

We started out with this Delicious drink call Lou's Coffee. It's 1/2 hot chocolate and 1/2 coffee. If you go, you gotta try it.

Then came Breakfast.

Yes Thumbs Up had our vote!
JUG_4

Our next stop was Piece a Cake. They have all these great cakes and they close early on Saturdays so we had to get there before they closed. I forgot to mention that while i was stuffing my face with food in mid bite. I realized I had forgot my spa gift certificate....yikes!!! I know, I know....it was a hurt feeling for me too realizing we had come to the city only to have forgotten my gift certificate...now Stephanie being the kind, gracious, sweet friend :) went all the way back to my house so I could get my spa certificate...of course there was a price to pay for that. (hee hee)....Steph, I just playing, but again I want to say "THANK YOU".
JUG_6

Ok so now were back on track and it's a little after noon by the time we finished eating at Thumbs Up and driving back to my house, stopping at Piece of Cake. Now were on our way to the Spa. Once we got there we had a little struggle with Stephanie. But we finally convinced her get a spa treatment, even though we had to use some force....well Marnetta did, I was just the picture taker. (hee hee) Why, you ask did we have a struggle with Stephanie? Well let's just stay "what happens on JUG Day, stay on on JUG Day" LOL
JUG_7

JUG_8

But in the end, Stephanie was glad she did get her spa treatment.

Then it was off to the Exhibition of Dialog in the Dark.

When we arrived at Atlantic Station there was a very long line but come to find out that ALL SHOWS were sold out for Saturday (boo boo). No worries, were going back this weekend, but all wasn't lost, because we hadn't seen Benjamin Button.

It's a 3 hour movie but well worth it. After a great breakfast, the spa, a movie, we ended the evening with a wonderful dinner at my favorite place Houston's. Well that's all forks!

I encourage all girlfriends to have a JUG DAY once a month!!

Meet Jayce

Welcome Jayce! she arrived on 12/31/08. The last day of the year. What a great tax break (LOL). Just a few hours short of being a 2009 baby...well that's ok. She is loved just the same. Here are some photos I wanted to share with you of her session. For the most part Jayce was very cooperative. She let us do just about anything :)

Hello 2009!!!

This is my first entry for the New Year and sorry for the delay, but I've been extremely busy with some up and coming projects I'm excited about and will share with you soon. But for now I wanted to tell you about my friend's awesome baby shower I was invited to Saturday. Now I've been to my share of baby showers but never one like this....CO-ED. This was a VERY FUN baby shower with participation from the guys as well as the ladies. Here are just a few of the hightlights i was able to snap.

the decorations were very unique and different, i love them.

Have you ever seen a cake like this before.....awesome and it was DELICIOUS!!!!Youman_3

Plenty of food and everything was very tasty, but the Chili was mmmm, mmmm good. Alisha, my special "Thank You" to the Cooks.Youman_4

Jennifer was so beautiful, she is sure a glowing mother-to-be.
Youmen_5

Of course we couldn't pass up the game where you guess her waist size... or is it her belly size....oh I can't remember...but can you guess what her size is?
Youman_6

Oh, now this was the hightlight of the party, besides the wonderful gifts...the guys had their game, and as you can see it got a little physical...in the end Chris, the daddy-to-be won.....psst.....he cheated though, but we'll let him slide (hee heee)

Youman_7

all in all, we had a great time...
Youman_8

I think Chris enjoyed opening the gifts a little more LOL. Some one remembered he wanted a "man bag" for the baby and he got it!!! yay!! let's here it for Daddy!! But the happy couple really appreciated everything.
Youman_9

This is Jennifer's family, her sister, grandmother, mother, her husband, and Uncle. She has lots of love and support as her and Chris embark on this new and special journey of their life together. A new branch on the family tree is about to spout as the generation continues...family is important and it's just as important to remember these special moments and occasions like this, it's history in the making, a legacy to look back on with those that mean so much to us. So document them with photos.
