Last Wedding of 2007

I know I'm late in posting this wedding, but really it's never too late to post a wedding. This was a wedding last month, I had the pleasure of shooting with the wonderful Atlanta Photographer N'neka. These are just a few of my images.

Warrior Piper

Today was a pretty Sunday, though it was cool and breezy, I guess it wasn't too cool or breezy for.....taking off in your own plane. How cool is that! My friend Sidney came down to Georgia from New York for a short visit. I got a chance to check out his plane and it was sweet! I'm not one for flying in anything less than a 757 Jet (hee hee) but I had to snap a couple of photos of Sidney's cool plane, along with Co-Pilot David who Sidney had working... yea, there's no such thing as kicking back relaxing when you're flying with Sidney. You'll definitely know the meaning of Co-Pilot when Sidney's through with you (LOL). Be safe in the blue skies and phone when you arrive alive!!!

Sheri & Daniel

Well the weather hasn't been the greatest as you might know, despite it I shot a Lifestyle Portrait session with this cool couple Sheri & Daniel who also happen to be good friends of mine. They were such great sports photographing about in the brisky weather. Actually due to the weather we had to re-schedule the second half of their photo shoot, but keep your eyes out for this couple because we've got some funky stuff we're going to be doing. AND...they are soon to be celebrating their One year Wedding Anniversary!!! Yea!!! So keep your eyes out for them.... but in the in meantime, here are a couple of my favorites from their photo session.

Back from DWF in Tampa

I'm back!! I had a BLAST in Tampa at the DWF Convention. Learn alot, overwhelmed alot and ate alot. Met some Great Photographers, Yervant, Laura Novak, Greg Gibson, Jerry Ghionis, Steve and Jen Bebb, Lena Hyde, Eddie Tapp, Jeffrey and Julia Woods, and so many many more. I've got so much to do, so be on the look out for great things ahead.

I didn't have a whole lot of time for photographs but here are a few. Well I'm keeping this post short and sweet, gotta run, too much to do. Enjoy!

My flight left Friday at 7am so of course I couldn't resist the sunrise from my seat on the plane, by the way I was on a row all by myself so I could stretch out and not have worry about disturbing anyone else, how cool is that!

I arrived at the hotel way early, and I was much appreciated that they let me check in early like 9ish when it's normally about 3pm. Here's a view from my room of the beautiful water feature....too bad were still under water restrictions.

Since I use to live in Tampa, I couldn't resist wondering to some of my old familiar places, but as I was driving I saw this cool artist conception I just had to take a couple of photos.

The last night of the convention DWF threw us a party at the Florida Aquarium. We had the whole aquarium, it was really nice I took a couple of shots with "no flash" just the available lighting, I used my 50mm 1.4 to take these shots.

DWF Convention

For those of you that don't know, this weekend is the Digital Wedding Forum Convention in Sunny Tampa, Florida, starting Friday January 4th thru Monday, January 7th. I'm a first time convention attendee and I'm so excited. This is an event where the professional photographers meet, network, have workshops, mentoring sessions, real live wedding scenarios, and so much more... oh we can't forget the Imaging USA Trade Show for the latest and greatest in Albums, Cameras, Equipment, Accessories, you name it and it will probably be there. So with all the goings on, I'm going to try and blog as much as I can, but if I don't, trust me there will be plenty to blog about when I get back...and those that will be attending DWF Convention I look forward to meeting you! Cheers!!!!

2008....it's Here!!!

Wow! It's finally here and so quickly. 2007 seem like it just came and went. This is my first posting for January 2008, of course and I'm excited. Back in Oct. 2006 I had the opportunity to attend an awesome photography workshop called Xtreme as some of you might remember and one of the projects we worked on was using available lighting in our surroundings, meaning NO FLASH, (if possible). Since last night a lot of folks were going out to party or getting together with friends and family, I wanted to used the opportunity to photograph images using only available lighting and last night I had the opportunity to do that. Yeah, I can't believe it myself, but I was one of the many who trailed down to the underground to photograph the dropping of the peach ball and the fireworks, but my focus and project was to use only the available lighting in my surroundings (no flash) and these are the photos that I came back with. Feel free to share a comment, or thought.

With each new year, you always want to do things a little different than the year before and 2008 is no exception. I'm not into making "New Year Resolutions" because I frequently reflect and set goals throughout my life, and in the coming days and weeks I'm going to share those with you be it professional or personal. But in the meantime and in between time I hope you enjoy my photographs.

Couldn't resist the Coca-Cola sign all nice and Neon Red

As you can see it was plenty packed....yes I'm still alittle in disbelief that I had the nerve to go down there.
